Congrats to Jim Rabe, Newest Member of the Board of Regents of the California Academy of Economic Development
KMA is pleased to announce that Jim Rabe, a Principal in the Los Angeles office, has been approved to join the Board of Regents of the California Academy of Economic Development. The Academy is the education and training arm of the California Association for Local Economic Development "CALED", which is the premier statewide economic development organization whose mission it is to support members in delivery of successful economic development services within their communities.
CALED consists of over 800 members from both the public and private sector, who are involved in the economic development business of creating and retaining jobs. The goal of CALED is to assist members by providing information, technical assistance, training, education and research. In additional to educational and technical support provided through the California Acaedmy for Economic Development, CALED established the California Enterprise Development Authority (CEDA), a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) that addresses gaps in economic development financing; additionally CALED advocates for legislation to benefit its members in the State Legislature.
