Ryan Koyanagi
Ryan Tuong An Koyanagi is a Senior Analyst in the Los Angeles office of Keyser Marston Associates. Since joining the firm in 2022, Ryan has provided public and private clients with real estate economic analysis for affordable housing, inclusionary housing and adaptive reuse projects. He has worked on projects in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, as well as the Bay Area.

Ryan conducts market and demographic research for real estate projects, evaluates developer responses to RFPs, conducts financial analysis of developer pro formas and performs affordable rent calculations for affordable housing projects.

Ryan has experience in market and demographic analysis for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects through platforms such as CoStar, and Esri Business Analyst. He also has experience using Esri ArcGIS Pro to conduct geographic analysis and create maps to illustrate and communicate findings internally, with clients and with project stakeholders.
Qualitative Data Analysis
Ryan has experience conducting surveys and interviews of key stakeholders and informants as well as analyzing, organizing and presenting key findings. He has experience reviewing qualitative using qualitative data analysis tools such as NVivo.
Affordable Housing
Ryan assists in analyzing inclusionary zoning impacts and helps calculate affordable rent for a variety of household sizes, affordability depths and rental markets for affordable housing developments.
He also assists in building and evaluating responses to RFP/Qs for local jurisdictions and public agencies looking to partner with CHDOs and other developers to develop affordable housing projects.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from California State University, Fullerton where he is also pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Geography.
