Reena Patel is a Manager in the San Diego office of Keyser Marston Associates, Inc. (KMA). Reena joined KMA in 2003.

Economic Development
Reena has prepared market demand analyses, economic profiles, and implementation strategies to assist cities in evaluating the potential for new in-fill and mixed-use development. She recently assisted the City of San Diego with a market demand analysis for the Encanto and Southeast San Diego planning areas. Reena reviewed key market factors related to inventory, vacancy, and value indicators, estimated the current retail productivity levels in the market area in order to identify and project the likely supportable demand for retail, office, and industrial land uses.
Affordable Housing
Reena has assisted numerous public sector and institutional clients in assessing the financial feasibility of various affordable housing and mixed-use developments. Reena's tasks included financial pro forma analysis, formulation of development concepts, developer negotiations, transaction structuring, and review of legal documents for the disposition of the property. Recent transactions include Alpha Square and COMM22 in the City of San Diego, Brighton Place and Orange Garden Apartments in the City of Poway, and Paseo Pointe in the City of Vista.
Student Housing
Reena assisted the University of California, Riverside (UCR) with the development various development prototypes testing the likely success of student and faculty housing over retail space with varying types of parking solutions in the ARTSblock district of downtown Riverside. Reena assessed the market conditions and prepared a range of financial pro forma sensitivity tests for a variety of residential and retail space.

Reena is a member of the San Diego Housing Federation (SDHF), and Citizens Coordinate for Century 3 (C3). She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration/Real Estate and Finance from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine.
