Reed Kawahara attended CSU’s Auxiliary Organizations Association (AOA) Annual Conference held in San Diego on Monday, January 9th.  Reed was a presenter at a session entitled Update on Financing Public Private Partnership Projects, which was designed to provide a basic understanding of CSU policies and procedures governing campus real property development, along with providing an overview of the use of financial pro formas in public/private partnerships.  Reed shared a presentation informing attendees of the pro forma’s role in the development process; specifically discussing what a pro forma is, why it is necessary and how it is used by developers, and steps involved.  Real world examples were also shared.  KMA’s Jim Rabe previously presented this topic at an earlier CSU Facilities Management Conference.
